The Kummer Institute

Missouri S&T is experiencing significant growth fueled by historic public and private investment, including a $311 million gift from June and Fred Kummer in 2020. The gift established the Kummer Institute to expand scholarships, improve campus infrastructure and strengthen S&T’s research profile through new centers focused on Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems, Advanced Manufacturing, Resource Sustainability, and BioInnovation and Medical Engineering.

These research centers offer an extraordinary opportunity to shape the future of technology, research and economic development. By bringing together world-class talent and partnerships across academia, industry and government, they will position Missouri S&T as a global leader in emerging fields. Missouri S&T seeks visionary leaders ready to build these centers, inspire innovation and help define what’s next.
