If you work at the university and have federal student loans, you may qualify for loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. PSLF helps participants cancel some or all their loan balance when they work in public service for ten years and make 120 payments toward their student loans.

The U.S. Department of Education is authorizing limited-time PSLF changes so borrowers with certain loans may receive credit for past payments made on loan types that would not otherwise qualify as well as previously denied requests. Current employees may submit PSLF Employment Certification forms via AskHR on the Employee and Labor Relations webpage. Former employees may submit forms via email.
