Missouri S&T offers medical plans through UnitedHealthCare. Medical insurance is effective on the first day of employment.
Our plan covers 100% of reasonable and customary fees for preventative services and 80% of basic services beginning on the first day of employment.
Vision insurance is provided through EyeMed as of January 1, 2018. It covers eye exams after a copay of $10 and frames up to $140 after a copay of $25. It is effective on the first day of employment.
S&T offers a defined contribution/benefit hybrid plan to all employees. In addition to this plan, there are a variety of voluntary supplemental retirement plans including 403b, 457b and 401a plans.
Paid time off, FMLA and other leaves of absence
Employees—as well as eligible spouses and dependents of vested employees—can receive assistance at any of the universities within the UM System
Employees who have reached milestones in their career are awarded with a certificate honoring their contributions, beginning with five years of service.
We offer on-site areas to breastfeeding mothers attending school or work who require a quiet space to pump their milk or nurse their babies.
